Senior Drill and Blast Engineer - Fairbanks

Key Areas of Responsibility & Duties: Design drill and blast patterns utilizing computer aided design software in order to achieve optimal fragmentation and wall control. This position will work closely with Mine Planning Engineers and Drill and Blast Supervisor to integrated the mine planning schedule into daily operations.

Minimum Qualifications & Skill Requirements: 

Candidate must meet or exceed all essential functions required of a senior mine engineer. Must work closely with Mine Geologist to incorporate mine geology structures and rock type in the blast design. Develop and conduct blast movement studies, and communicate with Ore Control. Also develop a fragment baseline and a tool to measure improvement. Must be safety oriented and understand production requirements.

This position is working a day shift schedule. Salary will depend upon experience. 

Must be presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis.
